People Are Asking, Where They Should Go On Their Holiday?

People are asking, where they should go on their holiday, and what cities we felt safe in?

So far on this 9 month adventure we have traveled to NYC, Miami, Honduras, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Dubai, Croatia, Greece, Spain, and Portugal.

We felt safe in every city and country we have been to, and that's a fact. There are only two cities that stand out that you need to be extra careful; Cairo, and old town in Dubai. Cairo we had a 24 hour tour company that took us everywhere, and I wouldn't have done this country without them, and in old town Dubai. We were followed by 3 Muslims, that were shouting in their native tongue at us, and it wasn't very welcoming.

We are not out at all hours of the night looking for hookers and blow, we don't do drugs, Felicia drinks wine, and we are normally home by dark. That being said, we did stay out in Bali and Thailand to the weeeee hours of the night, had a blast, and felt safe!

We found great hotel rooms for $8 -$15 a night, and we stayed in dumps for $85 a night, depending on the county and area of the city.....this is where you need to do your homework before you go.

The biggest thing that I didn't count on, was the cost of transportation. We took scooters, bikes, buses, camels, trains, planes, and automobiles. When you spend $25 for a 15 minute car ride to get to your $12 a night beachfront hotel, there is something wrong.

Places I would not go back to (or don't need to do again)

  • Vietnam
  • Egypt
  • Singapore
  • Brazil
  • The Camino
  • The Spain

Places I would go back to:

  • Thailand
  • Greece
  • Portugal
  • Philippines

Places still on my bucket list:

  • Scotland
  • Ireland
  • Eastern Europe
  • Brazil
  • Fiji
